Our Canadian Government, led by Hon. Stephen Harper, Prime Minister, is in charge of ensuring the security and safety of all Canadians and the complete operations of government.  The Minister of Public Safety, Hon. Stockwell Day, is responsible for all matters concerning public safety.  From time to time incidents occur such as natural,  accidental or intentional disasters that require extraordinary effort, personnel and resources.  To ensure due diligence, accountability and the most safe environment for the public and workers, the Canadian Government passed Bill C-45.
