Every year serious incidents occur from striking underground utilities and facilities. We at CHARMS understand the need to have a program in place that will ensure that regulatory compliance is being met, standards are followed and backfill, permitting and exposure documentation is completed.
Our experienced staff understands the hazards and therefore comply with strict guidelines and procedures on how a ground disturbance be handled. Our program includes the following:
- Tracking system for all notifications
- Conduct technical review and approval of third-party crossing and ground disturbance applications
- Coordinate crossing and ground disturbance activities with Operations field staff to ensure third-party facilities are conducted safely and in accordance with applicable policies and regulatory requirements
- Notification to First Call agencies for all ground Disturbance activity
- Assist internal and external parties with the interpretation and understanding of applicable procedures and regulatory requirements (as required) regarding third-party activities near pipelines
- Land title searches, landowner history, review of as builds or other documentation
- Third Party Locates
- On-site Ground disturbance Supervisor and permitting
- Excavation documentation and Backfill documentation
- Compliancy report filing as to regulatory requirements
Minimum of 15 years experience in the industry, enrolled in the Keyera competency management and Development System
