Selecting a contractor is a major decision which may influence the progress and success of any project. Under both the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the prime contractor or employer must have a system or process in place that will ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Each prime contractor must also have a system in place to evaluate or assess their contractors basis on quantitative and qualitative information in order to show due diligence which must include their health and safety performance. By this process companies are able to evaluate their contractors, assess the risk factor each contractor poses and decrease their liability by limiting their risk through contractor management. Furthermore, our system evaluates contractor compliance to regulatory and company requirements.
One of the key features of our pre-contractor screening process is that we randomly select contractors to undergo an audit review process for each client which may includes spot equipment inspections and documentation review.
